Pug grains that undergo the monsooning process are characterized by a bittersweet aftertaste. The process itself involves exposing the cleaned coffee beans to the environment. Over several weeks, the coffee is showered with monsoon rain and naturally dried by strong winds. The flavor is roasted nuts, chocolate, smoke and spice aromas. Characteristic of Pug is the almost complete lack of acidity.
Due to its excellent, dense crema and its flavor profile, Pug is highly recommended as a classic espresso.
The coffee is freshly and locally roasted using an artisanal, or master, technique.
